A happy healthy community is our goal.

Our Beginning

After moving to the area in 2016 our founders encountered several people who were recovering or suffering from an illness or other chronic health condition. We all know someone (maybe ourselves) who wants to make healthier lifestyle choices, but has no support or resources for improving their situation. Therefore, California Community Health and Education Initiative was created to benefit under served communities in Northern California and to promote self-care and health education.

Health is wealth

Some of our projects include no-cost health consulting for low-income seniors, a community garden and orchard which we use to support local food banks, seasonal outdoor classes and activities, health and nutrition curriculum for K-12 classrooms, raffles and giveaways, and more...

Our Mission

California Community Health and Education Initiative aims to promote health, education, and sustainability at a grassroots level. We hope to combat adversities we all struggle with and to strengthen the skills and abilities of everyone through community ownership, activism, and a strong support network. The programs we offer are aimed at senior wellness, promoting nutrition education in K-12 schools, and advocating for sustainable living and civic engagement in our community. Our goal is to improve the whole health of the whole community by building a network of advocates passionate about health, sustainability, and change.

We accept volunteers regardless of skill level. Teenagers 14 years and older can earn community service credits for school. Donations are also vital to our growth, as we use them for seed, soil, tools, and outreach materials. All donations are tax deductible and very much appreciated!
